CLINICAL SERVICES MANAGER
My Education:
Gena holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology with an extended minor in Psychology from the University of the Fraser Valley, graduating in 2015. Her academic background reflects her fascination with both the physical and psychological dimensions of healing, which continues to guide her work today.
My Experience:
With over 10 years of experience in the health and wellness field, Gena has supported individuals with diverse needs and experiences. She began her career as a kinesiologist in a multidisciplinary clinic, where she spent five years focusing on movement-based therapy and helping people in their recovery. Working alongside other healthcare professionals, she developed a strong appreciation for a client-centered approach that adapts to the unique ways people think, learn, and heal. Most recently, Gena worked as a health services consultant for a disability management company, where she supported individuals navigating significant injuries. In this role, she advocated for access to care and resources that honored each person’s individuality and recovery journey.
My Why?
I believe that true wellness begins when people are free to be their authentic selves and receive support that helps them feel seen, supported, and valued for who they are.
Check out the Q&A below to get to know me better:
I have two rescue pups that have two wildly different personalities. One is a high energy velcro dog that wants endless cuddles and the other is a senior girl that prefers to lie around and steal snacks. Never a dull moment with either of them!
I love all things outdoors, including snowboarding, mountain biking, and camping! Recently, I've been exploring some cozy hobbies like crocheting, yoga and tending to my many house plants.
Spending time in nature, reading a good book or cuddling with my dogs.
I try to practice mindfulness everyday so that I do not get swept away with the chaos of life. I also try to add a bit of movement into each day, whether it be a yoga class, a dog walk or chasing my 3-year old son around.
Prior to becoming a Mom, I used to love endless exploring and jam-packing each day with activities and adventures! Nowadays I can appreciate a more balanced vacation with a mix of relaxation and fun.
